Les Tres Xemeneies del Paral.lel (“La Canadenca”) is a landmark office building located at the heart of Barcelona’s theatre and entertainment district in the Poble Sec neighbourhood of the Sants-Montjuïc district. The property sits in the historical site of power company La Canadenca, a major contributor to the city’s modern development. Three XIX century chimneys -72 metres tall- stand within the premises and mark this legacy. The building takes its name from the three chimneys, “Tres Xemeneies” as they are known locally. This is one of the city´s best known landmarks and an icon of the district.

The building has excellent transport links by bus and metro to the city centre, connections to the airport and key road links. The Plaza de España and Fira de Barcelona (Trade Fair) exhibition centres are within 5 minutes by car. The passenger and merchandise terminals at Port de Barcelona are within walking distance.

The property comprises two interconnected buildings. The Torres building is arranged over ground and ten upper floors and the Llac building is arranged over ground and three floors. Parking space is available for 66 cars and 15 motorcycles.

The building was originally designed by RGA Arquitectes and was awarded the Década 1993-2003 award. Architectural firm Batlle i Roig are responsible for a full refurbishment project of this vacant property, which is currently under planning and should become a major urban regeneration catalyst for the Sants-Montjuïc district.
